SOLitude Lake Management is pleased
to welcome Aaron Cushing, Jeremy Haley and Marc Harris as Fisheries Biologists
to our staff. Aaron, Jeremy and Marc will be responsible for assisting our
clients with the management of their lakes, ponds, and other water resources.
Their extensive backgrounds in fisheries management will also make them an
asset to our clients when assisting our senior Fisheries Biologists in
expanding the fisheries program.
Aaron joins SOLitude Lake Management
after spending four years working with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
and Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission. He earned his M.S. in Biology
as a part of the Arkansas Fish and Wildlife Cooperative Unit at the University
of Arkansas. There, his thesis and research focused on the impact of
catch-and-release on the movement and survival of rainbow trout in Arkansas
tailwaters. He also holds a B.S. from The State University of New York College
of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse in Environmental and Forest
Biology focusing in Fisheries and Aquatic Science.
Jeremy
has over 7 years of water quality, fisheries and wildlife experience and holds
a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences from the University of
Missouri-Columbia. His professional field experience includes management of
lakes and ponds for nuisance and invasive aquatic vegetation and algae,
managing quality fisheries, and servicing fountains and aeration systems. He
has also worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service monitoring spawning
grounds and outmigration and the U.S. Geological Survey surveying silver carp
and bighead carp.
Marc holds a B.S. in
Fisheries Management with a minor in Biology from the University of Wisconsin
– Stevens Point. He, too, has professional experience in managing lakes and
ponds for nuisance and invasive aquatic vegetation and algae, and servicing
fountains and aeration systems. As an avid angler, he competed on the
collegiate level at UWSP.
“Aaron,
Jeremy and Marc are excellent additions to our lake and pond management team,”
said owner and president, Kevin Tucker. “As a part of an Integrated Pest
Management program, their education and experience in lake and pond management,
as well as fisheries and wildlife sciences, will help us serve an increasingly
more important role in the health of our aquatic ecosystems and therefore our
clients. We are pleased to have all three of them on our team.”
